I am a mother of three children, an educator, actress, and director of music and theatre for 26 years. I am the definition of artsy and I love everything about Theatre. I have chosen to strive for excellence by continuing my education in theatre and dance to develop as a triple threat. In college I was mentored to pursue music because I could sing, but theatre has always been the place that my passion lays. I minored in drama against my advisors advice, but that minor has given me the opportunity to teach musical theatre today. Throughout my life I have continued to perform professionally which helps maintain my craft and I eagerly attend workshops so I can excel in musical theatre and mentor my students to be successful. I have worked with every age group in education and professional theatre. I understand the importance of the NEA and the continued battle to keep the arts alive in schools. Furthermore, I aspire to assist you in maintaining theatres via grants which facilitate thriving arts communities. |
